Safeguarding

The safety of our children and families is one of the highest priorities at Cherry Trees.

All our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and we have designated staff who take the lead on Safeguarding across the federation.

Designated Safeguarding Lead: Julie Smith, Executive Head Teacher

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead: Suzie Hoefkens, Deputy Head Teacher.

Other staff with safeguarding responsibilities: Clare Oliver, Family Support Worker

If at anytime you wish to speak to one of the Safeguarding members of staff please just ask.  The school office can put you in contact with someone.

There are some very simple ways you can support us with safeguarding in school:

 TELL US

If you see or hear something that concerns you please speak to us.  This could be from another parent, child or staff member: it is important that we know what is going on in and out of  school.  If there is something you think we should be aware of please let us know.

  ASK US

If you are worried about something and want to talk we are always ready to listen and help.  Don’t be afraid to come and see us.

  WORK WITH US

We ask that you arrive on time to collect your child at the end of the session.

Tell us in advance if someone new is bringing or collecting your child

Always close the gates as you arrive and leave the site

Alert us if you see someone unfamiliar on the school site

Please don’t use your mobile phone whilst on site: keep it in your pocket or bag.
